My #1 Deep-Conditioner, To Date

The #1 Deep-Conditioner for My Hair, So Far

Hello, Everyone!

Wow! The past nine months have been super-busy for me! Among my usual tasks, I've been working at my sister's art business and 'wearing many hats' there. Among the 'hats I wore'/tasks I performed there, was teaching children and adults to paint on canvas and/or bisque pottery! I, blogged for her business and, also, edited and updated her WordPress website, too! I enjoyed my time there and learned quite a bit about WordPress, various tech. devices for business, and operating that type of business. So, that's some of what I've been doing while away from this blog.

Also, over the past few months, I've began using Shea Moisture hair care products on my hair. In today's post I will briefly discuss my experience with the first product of four products that I've already used of that line/brand, numerous times. The first Shea Moisture product that I tried, and used regularly, is the Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner with Sea Kelp and Argon Oil. I chose to purchase this product after visiting their website (where I discovered how long they've been in business) and because of the ingredients in this product. In addition to the ingredients, I enjoy and appreciate:
  • the aroma of this restorative conditioner
  • the design of the bottle w/ the pump
  • the deep-conditioning effect it has on my hair
  • the superb, quick-acting detangling effect it has on my hair
I feel fortunate that I discovered this product last year, because my 18" strands had
been clinging to each other, as if interlocked, for a while. I suspected that, somehow, the cuticles were not laying down completely after being cleansed and rinsed.  Due to the time it would normally take to detangle my hair, I had just let it stay spiraled together, plaited it and let it air-dry. After air-drying, my hair looked and felt silky-soft, and was beautifully glossy, yet when I would un-plait it to style it, I could not get the beautifully-spiraled strands to easily detach from each other.  Looking back, I now realize that this sticky-strands problem began when I could not get my usual, wonderful Organix conditioners at my local, neighborhood store , because they were always out-of-stock, each time I went to the store to get them.  It seems when other ladies, that admire your hair in the store, notice what you're purchasing for your hair, over and over again, the word gets out!

The Shea Moisture products cost twice as much as the Organix products. However, they are worth it; so far, the price has kept them available in my neighborhood store, too. Well, AFTER, approximately five weeks of using the Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner w/ Sea Kelp and Argon Oil my hair stopped sticking together, and a nice additional benefit was that my already-thick hair became even thicker! To date, this product has become my #1 detangling deep-conditioner for that sticky-strands problem, and as long as the quality and ingredients remains the great, it will continue to be! In my next post about the Shea Moisture products I've tried, I tell which product of that line is my #2 choice of deep-conditioner .
